At that time, Musarrat Shaheen was sixteen years old and she had three sisters and one younger brother. Musarrat Shaheen was brought up by her grandmother. After her father's death, Musarrat Shaheen started working as a nurse in a hospital in Dera Ismail Khan. After that, she was employed at the Family Planning Department, but she was not married. It was very difficult for the young woman to work in the family planning agency at that time. She left all these jobs and moved to Lahore where she started a bar dancer job in a hotel. It is said that at this time, She met the famous Urdu film actor Rangeela and rangeela offered her to work in a film, which she accepted, this was the beginning of her film career. Musarrat Shaheen got the opportunity to work in the movie Dulhan Ek Raat Ki. Musrat Shaheen was given a supporting role in the movie who was a lively character, Musarrat Shaheen danced on three songs in this movie, No one had done such a dance on movie songs before.
